The partner DNO Norge has been an active partner in the licence since initial application and APA 2017 award. DNO Norge attended the licence EC meeting on May 7th presented with potential well locations and site survey acquisition plans. The placement of potential well locations to minimise the risk of shallow gas was also discussed.
The partner DNO Norge was then in the licence EC/MC-meeting on August 8th presented the site survey results including risk of shallow gas. In this meeting also the status of the preliminary well planning and well design options with associated risks and the recommended design were presented. DNO Norge has performed their own work to verify the proposed well location.
On Sep 26th a licence status meeting on the well planning was held. Further details on well location, site survey, depth prognosis, well design, data acquisition and the well planning process were discussed along with comments from the partner DNO Norge on the draft Application for Consent.
The partner has during the well planning process also reviewed drafts of reports:
• Conceptual Well Design Report
• Basis of Design Report
• Application for Discharge
• Application for Consent (including the well programme)
Furthermore the partner has informed us that they plan an audit of the well project readiness (scope to be defined and clarified, but will at least cover Resources, Organisation, Drilling Program, Operational Bridging Documents, Relief Well Plans, Emergency Response, etc.). They have also advised that they will attend the operational risk reviews for drilling (DWOP) and testing (TWOP).
